The UK’s National Health Service guidelines stipulate that, for virus and bacterial infection control when contagion is spread through aerosol (airborne droplets), the mask needs to filter out 99.95% of airborne particles and seal completely to the face. The European Standard for this is FFP3.

Because Airgill separates the filtered air you breathe in, from the warm, wet, air you breathe out, the filters are only used when you breathe in. This means they last for months, not days. The mask can be sterilised and lasts indefinitely.

The technical stuff
In terms of filtration, Airgill will conform to:
European EN 143:2000 (referred to as FFP3 or P3) And the US NIOSH Standard (referred to as N100). And will be CE marked.
